It’s hard to argue with the fact that fried pies are a filling and tasty snack. What if you make them with meat filling? Then you can safely serve them as an independent dish. Let’s try to cook meat pies fried in a frying pan?
Since the dough needs time, we’ll start the cooking process with it. Our meat pies fried in a frying pan are made with yeast - dissolve fast-acting yeast with sugar in warm water (30-40 degrees). Add 1-2 tablespoons of flour and stir the mixture with a whisk until the lumps dissolve.
After 15 minutes the dough base is ready. A yeast foam forms on the surface, indicating good quality of the yeast. Add oil and salt and then stir.
Sift the flour into the base in small portions. In the process, we begin to knead the dough. As soon as it becomes tight, we transfer it to the table and begin to knead it with our hands.
When the dough stops sticking to your hands, transfer it to a bowl and cover with film. Place the dishes in a warm place for 1 hour. You can leave the dough near the radiator or in the oven preheated to 40 degrees.
You can choose any minced meat for the filling. Mix the meat with finely chopped onion, add pepper and salt. For greater juiciness, you can add 30-50 ml of cool water.
Knead the risen dough. Divide it into 10-12 parts, roll each into a ball. Now we begin to knead the pieces one by one with our hands into cakes.
Place some filling on the dough and connect the edges of the pie.
We form all the products and leave them on a surface lightly sprinkled with flour.
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan. Fry the pies in batches for 5-6 minutes on each side. It is advisable not to cover the pan with a lid so that water evaporation does not enter the hot oil.
