Bake delicious homemade apple and plum puff pastries using ready-made puff pastry. The recipe is very simple and affordable. During the season of fresh berries and fruits, such pastries will decorate your tea party! To prepare, you will need ready-made puff pastry and some fruit. Today we will use apples and plums, this duet is very successful and harmonious. The filling turns out juicy and aromatic. To prevent fruits from giving too much juice, simply add a little starch to them.
Before you start preparing the puff pastry, the dough must be thawed. The easiest way is to take it out of the freezer and leave it in the refrigerator overnight, the dough will be ready for baking in the morning. Cut apples and plums into medium slices, removing all seeds.
Place all the filling in a deep container, add sugar and potato starch. Stir - the filling is ready, do not leave it on the table for a long time, the plums can release juice, so start baking right away.
Divide the puff pastry into 4-5 parts, roll each one out to form an oval shape. Make cuts on one side of the dough with a knife, but not all the way.
Where there are no cuts in the dough, place the apple-plum filling.
Fold the free portion of the dough up, covering the fruit. Pinch the edges and use a fork to create curly edges on the puff pastries. In this way, make all the fillings.
Place the puff pastries on a baking sheet and by this time preheat the oven to 220-230°C.
Brush each puff pastry with a beaten chicken egg - this will make the baked goods golden brown and more appetizing.
Bake the puff pastries in the oven at 220°C for about 12-15 minutes - this will be enough.
Let the baked goods cool slightly and then serve, having brewed tea or coffee. You can even make these puff pastries for breakfast – the dish is prepared very quickly, any housewife can do it.
Enjoy your meal!
