Delicious cabbage flatbreads are a great snack and a good addition to soups. They are quick and easy to prepare. The ingredients are very simple: vegetables, wheat flour and yeast can be found in any housewife’s pan. And if desired, you can add any cheese that you have lying around in the fridge. To make a delicious cabbage flatbread in a frying pan, you need to make good dough. To do this, break two chicken eggs into a bowl, add granulated sugar and salt.
Next, add one packet of dry yeast, which is about 10 grams.
Pour milk into a bowl; it should be warm to activate the yeast.
Add a glass of warm water to the milk. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a whisk.
Mix wheat flour in small portions into a homogeneous dough base. You should get a liquid homogeneous dough. Cover the bowl with the dough with cling film and put it in a warm place for 30 minutes. After this time, it should increase in size and become covered with bubbles.
While the dough is maturing, prepare the vegetable filling. Finely chop the white cabbage, put it in a separate bowl and pour boiling water over it. Leave the vegetable for 10-15 minutes, so it will become softer and more tender.
At this time, peel and grate the carrots, finely chop the greens - dill and green onions.
Drain the water from the cabbage, add carrots and greens, salt and pepper to taste and mix.
Add the prepared vegetables to the matured dough and carefully mix everything together.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat, you can use a pancake pan, grease it generously with vegetable oil. Pour the dough with a ladle, you should get a flatbreads, half a centimeter thick. Cook it over medium heat under a lid for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully turn it over and fry on the other side for another 2-3 minutes. Fry the flatbreads in this way until the dough runs out. Periodically add oil to the frying pan.
