How to cook fish deliciously without spending a lot of time and effort? Of course, it is enough just to fry it, because there is nothing tastier in fish than a crispy fried crust. However, the fillet does not always turn out perfectly ruddy. But below we will reveal to you all the tricks, thanks to which you can fry fish in egg and flour batter of amazing taste.
Be sure to wash the fish fillet and wipe it with paper towels from excess moisture. Divide the fillet into medium pieces. If your fish is not filleted, then you can do it yourself by dividing the fish along the ridge and removing the spine with bones.
Season each piece with salt and pepper. You can use other favorite spices that are suitable for fish. We leave the fish for a few minutes so that it has time to absorb the spicy flavors.
Now let's prepare a batter recipe for fish - an egg, flour and milk. Break the eggs into a container and lightly salt, mixing them with a whisk.
Pour milk into the eggs, mix the mass again and begin to add flour in parts. The amount of flour may differ from that indicated in the recipe, since the final volume of flour depends on its quality. Add flour until the batter looks like thick sour cream.
Dip the fish pieces, holding on a fork, into the batter completely and immediately put them in a hot pan.
Fry the fish pieces over medium heat, without covering the pan with a lid. Cook the fish on each side for 5-7 minutes, depending on the thickness of the pieces. To make the fish really tasty, try to achieve a golden crust on batter.
