Banana bread with raisins is a traditional American pastry. It is also known as a cake or pie. The main ingredient of the dish is sweet overripe bananas. There are many options for preparing this airy delicacy. Dark chocolate, cocoa, and walnuts are suitable as additives. In our dish, cinnamon and raisins are added to the dough. These two ingredients help enhance the delicate taste and aroma of beautiful pastries. Let’s make a simple banana bread recipe at home!
Since our banana bread with raisins - rinse and fill it with cold water for 10 minutes. Then put it on a paper towel to remove excess liquid. Peel the banana and mash with a fork.
Transfer the banana puree to a deep bowl. Add sugar, sour cream, vegetable oil and an egg. Mix everything with a fork.
Pour flour, salt, soda, baking powder, vanilla and cinnamon into a container. Mix everything again. Add raisins to the prepared dough. Distribute it evenly.
We cover the baking dish with parchment. If the design of the container does not allow this, we prepare a “baker's shirt”. Grease the bottom and sides of the form with a slightly melted piece of butter and sprinkle with flour. To spread the flour evenly over the entire surface, tilt the mold in different directions and lightly knock on the sides. Shake off excess flour.
If we use a silicone mold, then we install it on a solid base. We spread the dough three centimeters below the edge of the mold, since the cupcake will increase significantly during baking.
Cooking banana bread in the oven - heat up to 200˚C, put the form with the dough into it. We bake the product for 35 minutes. Then reduce the oven temperature to 180˚C and leave the cake in it for another 10 minutes.
A quick recipe with a photo of banana bread is ready. Cool the finished bread, sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut into portioned pieces and serve. As an addition, we use butter or fruit jam.
