Everyone will want to try this cake, even those who don’t really like zucchini. The snack has a rich taste and aroma. First, fry all the cake layers and let them cool completely. And then grease them with a sauce made from processed cheese, mayonnaise and garlic. You can replace processed cheese with any soft cream cheese. Philadelphia cheese works great here. During the vegetable season, zucchini cake with tomatoes, garlic and mayonnaise can be prepared often without getting boring. Serve it both as an appetizer and as a main course. This snack is quite filling and nutritious, but at the same time tender and airy, melts in your mouth! Take note of the recipe!
Rinse the zucchini, peel if necessary and grate through a coarse grater. Beat a chicken egg into the vegetable shavings, add salt, ground black pepper and stir the dough.
Pour in a little milk and add pre-sifted wheat flour. The flour will hold the dough together and prevent it from falling apart when turned over.
Stir the zucchini dough thoroughly and you can start frying the cakes. The dough will be moderately thick and not very liquid.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan, pour in 3 tablespoons of batter and smooth the pancake using a spoon or ladle. There is no need to make them very wide and large; they will be more difficult to turn over. Fry the zucchini cakes on both sides for 3-4 minutes. They cook quickly and turn golden. In this way, fry all the pieces until the dough runs out. Add oil periodically.
While the fried cakes are cooling, prepare the sauce. Grate the processed cheese through a fine grater, and grate the garlic there too. If you like spicy snacks, add more garlic.
Add mayonnaise to the sauce and stir thoroughly. If desired, add a little salt and pepper.
Start brushing the cooled cakes with cheese sauce.
Place slices of tomatoes on the sauce; they will make the appetizer brighter and more appetizing. In addition, they will improve the taste of the dish and make it juicier.
Then place subsequent layers on top and continue to grease them, and don't forget to add the tomatoes.
Assemble the entire cake, let it soak in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, then decorate with fresh herb leaves and serve. Our recipe for zucchini cake with tomatoes and garlic is ready! It turns out tasty and aromatic, and is simply an irreplaceable thing for a festive feast.
Enjoy your meal!
