Here is a quick and easiest way to prepare delicious pilaf at home. Pilaf with sausage is a great alternative to the classic recipe that uses meat. In this case, sausage will perfectly replace it, which means the pilaf will be ready much faster. If you don’t have time to cook, prepare an alternative version of pilaf – with sausage. It will turn out no less tasty, but faster and more economical!
Chop the peeled carrots and onions. Cut the carrots into cubes or strips, and the onion into half rings.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the onion and carrots until soft. Fry for a couple of minutes, stirring.
Cut the sausage into cubes. Both boiled and smoked are suitable here. Whatever is in the refrigerator, use it for the recipe.
Add the sausage to the fried vegetables and fry everything together for a couple more minutes. Let the sausage cook – it will become more flavorful.
Add pilaf spices to the vegetables and sausage. Often, cumin, coriander, barberry, turmeric, paprika, black and red pepper are used for this seasoning.
Add washed rice to the pan. For pilaf, it is advisable to use long varieties of rice - they will be crumbly and not overcooked.
Pour water into the pan, add garlic. Salt and pepper to taste. Let the liquid boil, then cover the pan with a lid and simmer the pilaf and sausage in the pan over low heat for 25 minutes.
After stewing, all the water will be absorbed and the rice will be completely cooked.
Mix all ingredients and taste. The dish is ready!
