You should try this aromatic and tender chicken goulash at least once in your life. Tender meat that falls apart into fibers and a delicious tomato sauce. This will become your favorite dish! Our chicken goulash recipe is very easy to prepare, and the ingredients for it can be found in every home. You can take absolutely any meat – beef, pork or chicken. We used chicken fillet. It will take a lot of time, so prepare the dish in advance! But both your family and invited guests will highly appreciate this tender chicken goulash. The aromas will quickly gather everyone at the table, so be prepared to listen to compliments.
To prepare tender goulash with gravy, peel one medium onion and chop it finely.
Heat butter and vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion over medium heat until golden brown.
While the onion is frying, remove the films from the chicken fillet and cut into medium-sized pieces.
Add chicken to the onion and fry until crispy and golden brown for about 10 minutes. This will seal the juice inside and keep the meat juicy.
Then add 1.5 tablespoons of wheat flour to the meat and fry everything together for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the chicken is cooking, dilute the tomato paste with water and pour the finished sauce into the pan with the meat.
Add bay leaf and ground pepper to taste, as well as a tablespoon of salt. Set the heat to minimum and simmer everything under the lid for about 1.5 hours, remembering to stir. How to determine that the goulash is ready? The finished meat should easily separate into fibers. Take a fork and press on a piece; if it easily crushes, then the meat is ready. If the gravy is not thick enough for you, you can thicken it additionally. Dilute another 1.5 tablespoons of flour with a small amount of water and add to the remaining ingredients. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring.
