Cooking meat pies in the oven - yeast dough, this is the first thing we will do. Sift 400 g of flour into a large bowl, then add the rest in parts. Add sugar, salt and yeast here.
Make a small hole in the center of the flour into which we pour the heated milk and water. Add egg and vegetable oil. Knead the dough with a spoon, gradually moving from the center to the walls of the bowl.
The dough comes out liquid, so we start adding flour in parts. The exact quantity depends on the quality of the product. Add flour carefully, the dough should not be tight. Knead it for 7-8 minutes. When the dough begins to easily come away from your hands, leave it in the bowl for 1 hour under the film.
Now let’s prepare the meat filling for the pies in the oven. Mix the minced meat with finely chopped onion. You can add either fresh or pre-fried onions. Dilute the minced meat with water, add salt and pepper and leave it in the refrigerator.
Within an hour the dough had risen well. Knead it down and transfer it to a work area lightly dusted with flour. Divide it into 14-16 balls. Leave them under the towel for another 10 minutes.
We work with the dough one by one. Roll out the first ball and add some filling. Adjust the amount of minced meat yourself.
We connect the edges tightly, turn them over with the seam down. Use a similar method to make the rest of the pies.
We distribute the preparations on a baking sheet. If you do not plan to use parchment, be sure to grease the bottom of the baking sheet with oil. Cover the pies again with a towel and let stand for another 10 minutes. Then grease their surface with a mixture of egg yolk and milk.
Place the baking tray with pies in a hot oven for 25-30 minutes at 200 degrees. Focus on the power of your oven. If necessary, you can adjust the temperature or cooking time.
