Prepare for the holiday cruffin with orange juice, raisins and nuts. It has a crispy crust and tender center. Kraffins will become a worthy decoration of your table. Moderately sweet, with a hint of citrus, the dessert combines three variants of well-known pastries. The layered structure of the croissant, the lightness of traditional muffins, the yeast dough of the Easter cake. Here are the main features of these elegant lace products. Let’s make kraffins with orange juice at home!
For the recipe, we will also need 2 paper forms for Easter cakes. Cooking dough for kraffin with raisins and nuts. In a suitable container, mix warm milk with sugar, salt, yeast, egg, orange juice and zest. For quick and high-quality connection of products, we use a manual whisk.
Pour in half of the flour. We mix. Add 30 gr. softened butter. Mix everything again.
Gradually add the second part of the flour. If necessary, slightly reduce its quantity. Knead an elastic, non-sticky dough. Cover it and keep warm for 50 minutes.
Since our recipe for kraffins with orange juice has a filling, let's prepare it. Pour raisins for 15 minutes with clean cold water, chop the nuts with a knife into small crumbs.
Place the risen dough on a work surface and divide into two equal portions. We form smooth balls from them. Cover the blanks and leave for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, knead the ball of dough into a cake with your hands, and then roll it into a thin layer of rectangular shape with a rolling pin. We do not use additional flour.
Lubricate the resulting layer of dough with the remaining butter. The easiest way to do this is with a knife. On top of the oil in a chaotic manner, lay out half the norm of raisins and nuts.
Gently roll the dough into a thin tight tube.
Hands give the roll the correct smooth shape.
Cut the roll lengthwise with a thin sharp knife. We leave whole 2-3 cm of the workpiece.
We create a product. We wrap one part of the roll in the form of a spiral.
We place the uncut part of the dough on this spiral. We unfold the second part of the tube and twist it vertically.
We hide the tail of the dough in the center of the product. With our hands, lightly press the kruffin on all sides to smooth out possible irregularities.
We place the cruffin with raisins in the form. We form the second product in the same way. We cover the resulting products and keep on the table for 15 minutes. Then we transfer them to a baking sheet and send them to the oven with a temperature of 200˚C. The baking time is 35-40 minutes.
We immediately remove the mold from the finished products. If desired, once the kraffins have cooled, sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Delicious recipe with photo
