If it seems that gingerbread is not your dessert, then you have not yet found a successful recipe. Today we will prepare curd gingerbreads cookies using soft dough. As decoration we will use sugar icing, which we will also prepare together. Let’s get acquainted with this delicious dessert.
Let's start preparing the recipe for homemade gingerbread cookies from the dough. Carefully separate the egg yolk from the white. Place the yolk in a bowl, where we will knead the dough, and leave the white for glaze. Add cottage cheese, butter, sugar, baking powder, sour cream and vanilla sugar to the yolk.
Stir the mixture until the lumps dissolve. We begin to introduce flour into the dough in portions. You may need a little more or less flour from the indicated volume.
Knead the dough with your hands for about 2 minutes. Be guided by its structure - the dough should be soft and not sticky. Leave it on the table under a bowl for 30 minutes.
On a mat, roll out the “rested” dough into a flat cake about 2 cm thick. Using a glass or special cookie cutters, cut out gingerbread cookies. You can roll the scraps of dough again and make a few more gingerbread cookies.
We distribute the preparations on parchment or a baking mat. Leave a little space between the gingerbread cookies to prevent them from sticking to each other in the oven. Place the gingerbread cookies in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 170 degrees.
While the pieces are baking, let's prepare the glaze for homemade gingerbread cookies. Mix the cooled egg white with powdered sugar in a mixer bowl. Beat the glaze for about 5-6 minutes at the highest speed. Remove the gingerbread cookies from the oven and coat them with glaze immediately while they are hot. You can spread the glaze with a silicone brush, or simply by dipping the gingerbread cookies into a bowl of cream. You can decorate the gingerbread cookies with confectionery sprinkles on top. Let the baked goods cool.
