Vareniki with blueberries are an excellent solution for the summer menu. Using fresh berries, you will prepare a delicious and sweet treat for the whole family, just what you need for dinner! The dough is prepared quickly and without hassle. Knead it in water with the addition of chicken eggs and vegetable oil. In the summer, buying fresh blueberries is not a problem; they are always available on store shelves and on the market. It has a pleasant sweet taste and there are no seeds, which is great for filling. In winter, you can use frozen blueberries, the result will also be excellent. Having prepared and molded all the vareniki with blueberries, you can freeze some of them for future use, and if necessary, quickly boil them and please the whole family with a delicious dish for dinner.
Beat a chicken egg into a glass of water, add salt and stir the liquid thoroughly. Salt will add extra flavor to the dough, but don't overdo it.
Pour the egg mixture into the bowl for kneading the dough and add a little vegetable oil, it will make the dough easier to knead and will be elastic.
Pour in the wheat flour sifted through a sieve in parts, start kneading the dough, the lumps will gradually disperse.
When the dough rolls into a single ball, knead it with your hands for a couple of minutes, then let it rest, put it aside, covering it with a towel so that it does not dry out on top.
Then divide the dough into 2-3 equal parts, roll each thinly with a wooden rolling pin and squeeze out circles no more than 7 cm in diameter. It is convenient to squeeze out with a glass or cup. The vareniki are ready.
Pour sugar to taste into the center of the circle and add washed, dried blueberries. Add no more than 1 teaspoon of sugar, then the dough will be easy to form.
Fold the edges of the dough and pinch the vareniki on all sides. In the same way, mold all other products.
Boil 1.5-1.7 liters of water in a deep saucepan, add a couple of pinches of salt for taste, and then add vareniki. Stir gently with a wooden spoon to prevent the vareniki from sticking together. Cook them for 3-4 minutes in boiling water, during which time they will be completely cooked.
Our blueberry vareniki recipe is ready! Take them out and place them on plates, each with a separate portion. Let it cool a little so as not to burn yourself, the filling inside is still hot. Serve the dish for lunch - it is tasty, healthy, sweet and aromatic. Everyone will like it.
