Fried potatoes with bacon evoke only positive emotions; many simply adore this dish. Moreover, it is very easy to prepare it at home. You can diversify the usual potatoes with the help of aromatic and piquant bacon. Use any bacon – smoked or fresh (raw). From a minimal set of ingredients you can prepare a hearty lunch or dinner. You can serve fried potatoes with bacon in a frying pan with fresh or pickled vegetables, any herbs or sauces.
Cut the smoked-boiled bacon into strips or medium-thick strips. Cut the peeled onions into half rings.
Rinse the peeled potatoes and place on paper towels to remove excess drops of water. Cut the potatoes into medium-thick strips or cubes.
Place all the bacon in a preheated frying pan and let it fry for 2-3 minutes to render the fat. Then remove all the fried bacon from the pan and set it aside for now. We'll need it a little later.
Then pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and add a piece of butter. Melt all the butters, then put all the potatoes in there. There is not much fat that has been rendered from the bacon, so it is better to add butter. The mixture of vegetable and creamy is delicious, fried potatoes with bacon will turn out delicious.
Fry the potatoes for 5-6 minutes, stirring to form a golden crispy crust. First, turn the heat up a little more than medium, and when the bars become golden brown, turn the heat down a little.
Add onions to the dish, stir and fry everything together for another 5 minutes.
Then return the cooked bacon to the pan.
Mix all ingredients, add all spices to taste, salt and pepper. Fry the potatoes over low heat for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked. When frying, do not cover the pan with a lid, otherwise the vegetable will not be fried, but steamed and, as it were, slightly boiled.
Serve the finished dish immediately to the table. Fried potatoes with bacon in a frying pan turned out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And the bacon adds a delicious flavor.
