The pleasant taste of strawberry jam makes it a desirable dessert at any time of the year. It can be frozen for the winter, cooked into aromatic compotes and rolled into jars. Today I suggest making strawberry jam in a frying pan. With this recipe, the berries retain their shape and remain whole, and the syrup takes on a rich ruby color. You will be pleasantly surprised by the result. To do this, you don’t need to cover everything with sugar and wait several hours for the berries to release their juice. The whole process will take just a few minutes. The recipe is very practical and accessible to every housewife. The workpiece is ideally stored even in a city apartment. In winter, you can please your loved ones with a delicious homemade strawberry jam in a frying pan.
We start preparing jam in a frying pan from strawberries and sugar by preparing the main ingredient. Sort through the strawberries, use only high-quality ones without spoilage. Tear off all the “tails” and rinse it several times under running water.
Transfer the berries to a dry frying pan and place over low heat. We cooked it in two stages of 400 g each, since our dishes are small. If you have a deep dish, you can cook the whole portion in one go.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes until all the juice is released, stirring occasionally with a silicone or wooden spatula.
Add sugar in several stages, dividing in half. Add a little sand to the strawberries, stir and simmer for 10 minutes until all the crystals have dissolved.
Then add the remaining sugar and cook for another 10 minutes over low heat.
At the end of cooking, the mass will become thicker, the syrup will become transparent and bright, but the berries will not boil over and will remain intact.
While the fried strawberry jam is cooking in a frying pan, prepare all the jars. Wash them with soda and rinse thoroughly, then sterilize. This can be done over steam or in the microwave. Place the prepared hot jam into sterilized jars. Fill to the top with berries and pour in aromatic syrup.
Screw the lids on the jars and let them cool under a blanket.
Our recipe for Strawberry jam in a frying pan is ready. Put it in the pantry until winter! When you want something sweet, you can enjoy a delicious dessert.
Enjoy your meal!
