Let's start the recipe for pitted apricot jam by preparing the fruits: remove the stems and wash the fruits well. Cut the apricots into halves. We take out the seeds - we don't need them.
Place the chopped fruits in a large saucepan and sprinkle them with sugar. Mix the contents and leave for 8-10 hours so that the apricots release their juice.
Now mix the jam base again and put the pan on the stove. Bring the contents to a boil over low heat, add lemon juice and continue cooking for 20-30 minutes.
Turn off the heat and wait for the apricots to cool. Then we put them on the fire again and repeat the previous step 2-3 times. This way the apricot halves will resemble marmalade.
