Pea soup is a popular dish in many families. You can cook it with meat, vegetable broth or with the addition of sausage, in this case smoked. Prepare pea soup with smoked sausage for lunch – it turns out incredibly aromatic, thick, rich and tasty. In addition, add some vegetables and spices to your taste. Here is a simple and affordable recipe. You can take any smoked sausage without large pieces of lard. A universal pea soup with smoked sausage recipe will be useful to every housewife.
Here's how to make pea soup with smoked sausage. Start by boiling the peas - this will take the longest time, but if you soak the beans overnight, it will go faster. So, rinse the soaked peas thoroughly, place them in a bowl and add clean water. Put it on the stove to cook. After the peas start to boil, remove all the foam and cook them on low heat for 40-45 minutes, until soft. At the very end of cooking, add salt to your taste.
While the peas are cooking, prepare all the vegetable ingredients for our dish. Peel the potatoes, onions and carrots. Rinse all the vegetables. Cut the potatoes into medium-sized cubes.
Add all the potatoes to the boiled peas and cook the broth for about 10 more minutes.
Prepare the vegetable fry. Grate the carrots on a large or medium grater, and cut the onion into small cubes.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, place the onion and carrot there and fry them for a couple of minutes until soft and translucent.
Add the smoked sausage cut into cubes to the vegetables and fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes. The meat will become more aromatic.
The potatoes have become soft and the peas are almost boiled – this is ideal, add the vegetable sauté with meat and bay leaves to the soup. Pepper it to taste and cook for a couple more minutes.
At the end, add some finely chopped dill and it's done, remove the pan from the heat.
Serve hot and aromatic pea soup with smoked meats. The dish is very filling, tasty and original.
