Combined with strawberry filling – it’s incredibly delicious!
Let's prepare the strawberry vareniki recipe step by step - first knead the dough. To do this, sift half a portion of wheat flour into a deep bowl. Put a little salt there too, so the taste of the dough will not be bland.
Pour boiling water over the salt to brew the flour. This way the salt will quickly dissolve. Stir everything quickly with a spatula or whisk.
Add the chicken egg to the slightly cooled choux pastry and continue stirring quickly with a spoon.
At the end, pour in a little sunflower oil for elasticity and add all the remaining flour.
Knead the dough and roll it into a ball. The dough will be soft and not sticky to your hands, it is easy and simple to work with. Cover it with a towel and leave to rest for 15-20 minutes so that the gluten in the flour is released.
After a while, divide the dough into equal balls and roll them into thin cakes with a rolling pin.
Place strawberry pieces and sugar to your liking in the center of the dough. If the strawberries are large, then it is better to cut them into pieces. Leave the small berries as they are.
Pinch all edges of the dough and run your fingers around all sides.
Using the same pattern, make all the other vareniki until you run out of dough and filling.
For the recipe for vareniki with strawberries, boil water in a saucepan and pour in about 1.5 liters. Add a little salt and place the vareniki in boiling water, not all of them, cook them in portions of 5-6 pieces so that it is easy to stir.
