Turkish gozleme flatbread is the perfect dish for a family breakfast or snack. In Turkey, a thin yeast cake is an element of fast street food. With more expensive fillers, it is offered as an exquisite product in cafes and restaurants. Gozleme flatbread is eaten hot. But even after cooling, delicate products retain their attractive appearance and amazing taste.
Cooking dough. In a deep container, combine flour, ¼ teaspoon of salt and yeast.
Pour in half the norm of vegetable oil and water.
Knead a smooth, non-sticky dough. Depending on the type of flour, its amount can be increased or decreased relative to the recommended rate. Cut the dough into three portions and roll into smooth balls. Cover them with foil for 40 minutes.
Preparing the filling for Turkish gozleme cakes. In the remaining vegetable oil, fry the finely chopped onion until golden.
Add mince. We stew it with onions, at the same time we break the lumps.
At the end of cooking, add spices and salt. Cool the fried minced meat.
Three boiled potatoes on a vegetable grater. Add finely chopped parsley to it. We mix.
Add fried mince to potatoes. Season the filling with salt and pepper.
We form a gozleme. Roll out the dough ball into a thin layer.
Spread a third of the filling on half of the circle. Distribute it evenly.
Cover the filling with the free part of the cake. We press the edges well. Similarly, we form two more products.
Heat up a dry non-stick frying pan. Fry the gozleme in a pan on one side and the other until golden brown. We stack them in a pile, lubricating with melted butter.
