Making sweet lavash rolls with cottage cheese and apple is very simple. Because you don’t need to mess with flour, dough, roll something out. Today it will be sweet tubes. As a filling, I took cottage cheese and a green sour apple. And to make the tubes tastier, I fried them in a pan, dipped in egg batter. A simple recipe that deserves your attention. Tips: For cooking, I take a sheet of thin pita bread (one sheet weighs 150 grams). I cut this sheet into rectangles with kitchen scissors. The size of the rectangles is 15 by 10 cm. It is better to take cottage cheese for tubes dry (I have 9%), not pasty (it will flow). Any apple will do. I took a sour green apple. Since I had it very large, half of it was enough for me.
Put cottage cheese in a deep plate. Pour sugar, add sour cream. Cut the apple into small cubes. Pour the pieces into a bowl. From all this, the filling for the tubes is obtained. We mix the products, the filling is ready.
We lay out a rectangle of pita bread on a table (or tray). We make two bends from narrower sides (7-8 mm each). This is necessary so that the filling does not leak out when frying the tube. We spread 1.5 tbsp. fillings on one of the wide edges of a pita leaf.
We bend the side edges, and then twist the tube. We lay all the tubes “seam” down so that they do not unwind before frying.
We heat up the pan. Pour vegetable oil into it. Dip each tube in an egg, which we shake in advance with a fork. We spread the tubes on a heated pan.
Fry the tubes with lavash cottage cheese in a pan on all sides until golden brown and appetizing crust (3-5 minutes on each side).
We shift the finished products to a tray (or plate). You can eat immediately (the main thing is not to burn yourself). Sweet fried lavash rolls with cottage cheese and apple are delicious both hot and cold.
