We would like to introduce you to an interesting recipe for pie dough. These soft pies in the oven turn out incredibly airy due to the ideal proportions of ingredients. The dough itself is not sweet, so you can add any filling to it: meat, cabbage, rice, herbs, jam, etc. Decide on the filling, and we will help with preparing the dough. Let’s cook fluffy soft pies in the oven together!
Let's prepare the dough for soft yeast pies in the oven - heat the milk to a temperature of 40-50 degrees. Dissolve sugar and instant yeast in it. Add a spoonful of flour, mix and leave the mixture for 15 minutes.
When the yeast starts working, a lush foam appears on the surface of the milk. At this point, add 1 egg and melted butter.
Sift flour mixed with salt into the dough. We begin to knead the soft dough for pies in the oven with our hands and a mixer with a special attachment. After 2 minutes, grease your hands with vegetable oil and knead the dough on the table for about 7 minutes. We collect it into a ball and leave it in a bowl under the film for 1 hour.
Divide the dough into 6 parts of equal weight. Roll them into balls. There is no need to add additional flour at this stage, otherwise the dough will become “clogged”.
Knead the balls with your fingers and form them into round cakes. Place any filling in the center and pinch the edges, forming oblong-shaped pies. Transfer the pies to a baking sheet. If you use parchment, you do not need to grease it with oil. Leave the pieces to proof for 20 minutes under the film. Then grease their surface with a mixture of egg yolk and milk.
We bake pies at 190 degrees. 20-25 minutes, depending on oven power. Let them cool for 5 minutes and invite your loved ones for tea! Our recipe for soft pies in the oven is ready!
