For the filling, it is better to choose chicken drumsticks and thighs, since the fillets from these parts come out the juiciest. Remove the skin and cut the fillet into large pieces. Place the chicken in a hot frying pan and add the chopped onion.
Fry the fillet on all sides until golden brown. In the process, add salt, pepper and chopped garlic. Remove the chicken from the heat and leave until completely cool.
Cut the cooled fillet into small cubes. Transfer it to a bowl along with the fried onions. Add grated cheese, finely chopped sweet pepper and green onions to the chicken. If desired, you can add additional salt and your favorite spices to the filling.
Roll out the completely thawed dough layer to a thickness of 2-3 mm. Use a knife to divide it into 9 squares.
Roll out each square a little more, making it a little larger. Place 2 tablespoons of filling in the center.
Pinch the corners of the pie with your fingers and then press the edges with a fork. Excess dough from the edges can be cut off with a knife.
Form the remaining pies and place them on a pre-greased baking sheet. Lubricate the surface of the products with egg yolk. For decoration, puff pastries with chicken in the oven can be sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for 25 minutes. After cooking, remove the baking sheet and let the baked goods cool slightly.
