We invite you to get acquainted with a successful recipe for pies with apples. Our apple pies made from yeast dough with milk are an excellent option for a sweet filling. Since apple pies are made from yeast dough, let’s prepare the base. Dissolve instant yeast in warm milk. Add sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of flour. Stir the mixture and place in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
The readiness of the base is indicated by the yeast foam formed on the surface of the milk. Now add the egg, salt, melted butter and vegetable oil.
Sift the flour into the base in parts. Knead the dough after each added portion of flour.
Knead the dough with your hands for a couple of minutes. It comes out soft and slightly sticky to your hands.
We collect it into a ball and transfer it to a clean container with oiled sides. Let the dough rise in a warm place. After 1 hour it will be ready for further work.
For the filling, peel the apples, remove the core and cut the pulp into cubes. Mix apples with sugar.
Lightly fry the apples in a frying pan until the sugar begins to turn into caramel. Add vanillin, starch, cinnamon and mix.
Divide the risen dough into balls of equal weight, approximately 50-60 g each. Cover them with a towel, protecting them from chapping.
Let's move on to forming the pies. Stretch a piece of dough with your fingers into a flat cake and place a spoonful of apple filling in the center.
Pinch the edges of the dough. Form a pie and place it seam side down. We make the rest of the pies this way.
Move the pieces onto a baking sheet. Cover them with a towel and leave them warm for 15-20 minutes so that the dough rises slightly. Then grease the tops of the pies with yolk and put them in the oven at 200 degrees. Bake for about 20-30 minutes, depending on the oven power.
