Among the most popular options for preparing spaghetti, pesto pasta with shrimp is a particular favorite. The perfect combination of herb-roasted shrimp and pesto will make you fall in love with Italian cuisine even more. To make the dish perfect, follow a few simple rules. Sweet cherry tomatoes and fresh spinach make pesto and shrimp pasta more appetizing. They go well with the main ingredients. Shall we get started?
Boil the spaghetti until al dente in salted water. Usually the manufacturer indicates the required time on the packaging, but if there is no such information, take advice. To determine the degree of cooking, you just need to divide one spaghetti into two parts. If the color on the cut is uniform, then they are ready. If the middle is lighter than the edges, cook for some more time. After the products are cooked, pour out a little broth - about half a glass, drain the rest.
While the pasta is cooking, let's make the shrimp. Pour oil into the pan, adjust the amount to your taste. Place the shrimp on a heated surface and sprinkle with ground pepper, salt and Italian herbs. Fry them until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Add cooked spaghetti and pesto sauce to the ready-made shrimp and mix gently. If the pasta seems a little dry, add a little broth for juiciness.
