When you want to dedicate your weekend to your loved ones, treat them to homemade cakes. Bake meat and rice pies on fluffy yeast dough. Ruddy baked goods with a seductive aroma will certainly not go unnoticed by your household! Let’s prepare yeast pies with meat and rice together.
Let's prepare the dough for pies in the oven with meat and rice. Heat the milk in a saucepan, add the yeast to it and leave for a couple of minutes. In a bowl, combine the egg with vegetable oil, salt and sugar. Then pour in warm milk with yeast.
Add flour to the milk mixture and proceed to kneading the dough. Knead it by hand for about 5 minutes, and then form a lump and leave it in a deep bowl under a towel for 1 hour in a warm place.
For the filling, fry finely chopped onion in vegetable oil. Add the minced meat to the pan, stirring thoroughly and breaking up any lumps with a spatula. Salt the filling and add pepper. Cook the minced meat until the moisture has evaporated and the meat begins to brown.
In a bowl, combine the fried minced meat with onions and boiled rice. Mix the filling well and don’t forget to taste for salt. Leave the minced meat until it cools completely.
Divide the dough into ten equal parts. While we are working with one piece, cover the rest with a towel, protecting them from chapping. Roll out the dough into a circle and place the filling in the center. Make a pie, carefully pinching the edges. We form a pattern, as if we are braiding a braid, pulling and pinching each fold.
Place the finished products on a baking sheet, greased with a drop of oil, and leave for 20 minutes under a towel. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Before baking, grease the pies with yolk. Leave the baked goods in the oven for 20-25 minutes until nicely browned.
