It’s hard to resist the seductive aroma of fried pies on yeast dough in a frying pan. And we suggest not to give up gastronomic pleasure. Today we’ll tell you how to cook fluffy fried yeast pies in a frying pan. Shall we get started?
Any filling is suitable for fried pies; for example, let’s take potato filling. Boil the potatoes in advance and turn them into puree. If desired, you can add fried onions. Let the filling cool.
Our fried pies in a frying pan are made with yeast and milk - lightly heat it in a saucepan or microwave. It shouldn't be hot. Dissolve sugar in milk, add yeast and a little flour.
Stir until the lumps are completely dissolved. Leave for 15 minutes under a towel in a warm place. The yeast will begin to work and a dense foam will form on the surface. If there is no such reaction, then this indicates poor quality of the yeast.
Add egg and salt to the bowl with milk. Stir until smooth.
Sift about half the volume of all the flour into a bowl with the dough. Let's start kneading the dough. It will be sticky at first, so gradually add the rest of the flour in sections. At the end, add vegetable oil, knead the dough a little more and leave it for 5-10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 parts. We form balls from each piece.
We begin to work with the dough one by one. Roll one ball into a thin cake. Place a spoonful of filling.
We fasten the edges of the cake tightly so that the filling does not get into the seam.
Place the pie seam side down, pressing lightly on top. We form the rest of the pies in the same way.
Heat a lot of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the pies for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
