If the house smells of pies, then it is cozy and warm. Do you want to create warmth with comfort in just an hour? Do you want to feed your family with tender, lush, melt-in-your-mouth pies without any extra effort? Kefir dough will help with this. It is prepared very quickly, and in terms of taste it is in no way inferior to yeast. Let’s make fried pies with chopped egg and green onions together!
To prepare the dough, beat the eggs, melt the margarine in a water bath, heat the kefir a little, add salt and carefully mix the resulting mass. Then combine the contents of this container with the bulk part - flour and baking powder.
Add flour until the mass thickens, then knead the dough with your hands or use a food processor for this. The finished dough should be sufficiently dense, but at the same time soft, airy and elastic.
Wrap the dough in a clean towel or place it in a plastic bag while you prepare the filling. Cut cleanly washed green onions into thin rings, and finely chop the hard-boiled eggs with a knife. Combine the components, add salt with black pepper, vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.
Cut off a small part from the “rested” dough, roll a sausage out of it, which then cut across into equal parts. Roll out each "medallion" with a rolling pin and place the filling in the center.
Connect and pinch the opposite edges of the cake, forming oblong pies.
Lay the baked pies seam side down in a hot skillet with vegetable oil.
Bake pies on low heat. Keep an eye on them and turn them over when the underside is browned enough.
Pies with egg and green onions are equally good hot and cold. Cold pies can be warmed up for breakfast in the microwave or in a pan, frying over low heat on both sides.
Enjoy your meal!
