Do you know how to make sweets from semolina that will be tastier than sweets from the store? We have such a recipe in our piggy bank – coconut candy made from simple ingredients that you will probably find at home. Lovers of coconut filling will especially like these sweets. Let’s get acquainted with the recipe!
Place a saucepan or small saucepan on the fire. Heat the milk and then add all the sugar. Add semolina to the hot milk in a thin stream, stirring continuously. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the cereal is ready. The process is reminiscent of preparing regular semolina porridge.
Remove the hot mixture from the heat, add coconut flakes and softened butter.
Stir the candy base until the butter dissolves, and then leave until it cools completely.
Place semolina on parchment paper or a silicone mat in a layer at least 2 cm thick.
Divide the layer into strips with a knife. They shouldn't be too narrow. Place the candies in the freezer for 40-60 minutes.
Our chocolate-covered coconut candies - for the glaze, combine cream and chocolate, and then melt the contents in the microwave or in a water bath. Stir the chocolate well to obtain a homogeneous consistency.
Pour melted chocolate over the candies; it’s easier to do this with a spoon. If you want the candies to be covered with glaze on all sides, you can dip them entirely in chocolate.
Place the candies in the freezer again for 20 minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden. A simple coconut candy recipe is ready. Try it with pleasure!
Enjoy your meal!
