Hot for the holiday – an eternal headache. There are many recipes, but some of them are not suitable for a festive feast. Others are very difficult to prepare, and the result of some is not so. We offer you to prepare a recipe for cooking chicken meat in a marinade with potatoes in the oven. This dish has three undeniable advantages at once.
It takes a minimum of time to prepare. The dish is simple. You will get delicious results. The main secret of the success of this dish is in the marinade. Thanks to its components, chicken meat and potatoes acquire an amazing taste, color and aroma. Chicken meat in a marinade with potatoes in the oven looks elegant and festive.
First, prepare the chicken - cut into pieces, wash, dry, rub with salt and black pepper. And now let's take care of the marinade, for which we combine all the components in one container and mix thoroughly. Garlic should be minced first.
Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix well - so that each piece gets its portion of aromatic sauce. We wrap the container with cling film and put it in the refrigerator - at least for several hours, or even overnight. Remember the first advantage - speed of preparation! Now you can evaluate it in practice: you can “pack” the chicken in the marinade ahead of time, and the next day all that remains is to put the meat in a baking dish and send it to the oven.
By the time the chicken “floats” enough in the marinade, prepare the potatoes: peel them and cut them into large slices.
And now lay out the potatoes in a heat-resistant form first, and on top of it the chicken meat. Pour the rest of the marinade over your chicken. Cover the form with foil and bake at a temperature of 170-200 degrees for about an hour.
After that, remove the foil, reduce the heat a little and keep the chicken in the oven for another 15 minutes - until it is covered with an even golden “tan”. It is very important during this period to vigilantly monitor the contents of the oven: the honey that is part of the marinade contributes to the formation of a beautiful crust on the meat, but if you miss the moment, the crust can become much more ruddy and less appetizing.
Chicken cooked this way looks delicious and tastes good. This dish is also convenient because it eliminates the need to take care of the side dish: potatoes baked with chicken and incorporating all the notes of a marinade bouquet become the perfect complement to meat.
Enjoy your meal!
